25FT Round Direct Burial Steel Light Pole
The TANLITE 25FT Round Direct Burial Steel Light Pole is designed for commercial and industrial area-lighting projects that require a strong, permanent direct-burial installation. The pole uses high-strength steel tubing with a round profile and a nominal 4.5-inch outside diameter. For a 25FT mounting height, the specification drawing shows a 5FT embedded section below grade.
Direct Burial Installation
The embedded section is installed directly into a concrete foundation, eliminating the need for a base plate or anchor bolts. The specification recommends a 5FT burial depth for poles in the 20–30FT range.
Heavy-Duty Corrosion Protection
The pole uses hot-dip galvanizing and a textured architectural bronze powder-coated finish. The below-grade section is protected with black asphaltum coating to provide an additional corrosion-resistant barrier against soil, moisture, acids, and alkalis.
Integrated Hand Hole and Cover
A hand hole and cover are included as standard to provide access for underground wiring and electrical connections. The hand-hole detail is positioned near the lower section of the pole for convenient installation and service access.

Maximum EPA with 1.3 gust factor: 28.8 ft² at 70 mph, 22.1 ft² at 80 mph, 17.4 ft² at 90 mph, 11.6 ft² at 110 mph, and 9.7 ft² at 120 mph.
Foundation Reference
For 20–30FT poles, the specification provides a reference concrete foundation size of approximately 35.4" × 35.4" × 82.7" (900 × 900 × 2100 mm). Final foundation design must be determined for the actual soil conditions, luminaire loading, local wind requirements, and applicable codes.
